About Advanced Acupuncture

Transformative Acupuncturist - Michelle Aris

Advanced Acupuncture operates from a clinical space in Ealing, West London.

Founder and advanced acupuncturist Michelle Aris, LLB BSc MBA, has over sixteen years of post-graduate clinical experience and training in Traditional and Classical Chinese Medicine acupuncture.

Michelle has practised acupuncture continuously since she completed her Chinese Medicine Acupuncture degree in 2007.

She worked first at a Japanese spa near Bond Street, then at a busy clinic in Waterloo, before establishing herself at her current clinic in Ealing.

After completing a law degree and working in the legal field, Michelle felt inspired to study acupuncture because of her love of Chinese medicine, martial arts, and the theories behind these ancient practices.

Ealing is a lovely location for acupuncture. Sometimes, people feel energised after treatment. If you feel like some gentle exercise before or after your session, you may wish to explore Walpole Park, which has now been landscaped to reveal the views from Pitshanger Manor as intended in its original design.

Michelle often recommends soups, broths, and herbal teas to help deeply hydrate the body. Some local broth options that you might want to try are Tonkatsu, Parks Kitchen, Pho, and Kanada-Ya.

Settle down with a warming and refreshing herbal tea or a snack after your treatment. You are spoilt for choice with lovely independent cafes in Ealing, including Cafe Zee, Farm W5 Natural Cafe, Beehive Cafe Ealing, and Ginger & Moore.

Why Visit an Acupuncturist?

Acupuncture works on the same principles as Qi Gong, focusing on breath, mind, and movement to direct the body’s internal energy flow.

Qi Gong has multiple applications, including health, martial arts, and spiritual development. It encourages the connection between mind and body for health, well-being, and balance.

The practice allows acupuncturists to give patients that same clear and balanced energy flow.

Therapeutic acupuncture is delivered in a clinical setting rather than through the physical exercise of Qi Gong, making acupuncture a convenient, comfortable and accessible treatment option.

Generations-Long Knowledge in Acupuncture

Advanced acupuncturist Michelle Aris feels very privileged and profoundly grateful to have accessed her deep knowledge of acupuncture through lectures presented by Dr Jeffrey Yuen, an 88th-generation lineage holder and gifted teacher on all aspects of Chinese Medicine.

As part of her lifelong commitment to developing her practice of advanced acupuncture, Michelle is proud to continue the tradition of apprenticeship within Chinese medicine by completing mentorship programmes with several renowned teachers within Dr Yuen’s lineage: Ann Cecil-Sterman, Sean Tuten, and Dr Hung Tran.

These outstanding teachers strive to preserve the precious gift of Chinese Medicine in its truest form.

The Benefits of Advanced Acupuncture
