“I really enjoyed that, particularly the qi gong. I felt relaxed afterwards”
Yesterday I met with some of my patients. It was so lovely to see their friendly faces after weeks of social distancing. Don’t worry, I didn’t break any lockdown rules! Along with many others, a few of my patients and I were attending Dr Hung Tran‘s free webinar “Self Care for Boosting Immunity Part 2”.
Dr Tran reviewed some qi gong exercises particularly useful for boosting Kidney Yang and Lung energy, both important components of our bodies’ immune health. After the qi gong I felt warm and relaxed and my chest felt more open. The exercises were easy to do and my 8 year old daughter enjoyed joining in.
Dr Tran also discussed how a diet rich in warm, wet foods (e.g. soup, stew and porridge) hydrates us in a way that drinking plain water doesn’t. These foods nourish Stomach fluids, another necessary component of the immune response.
Here is some of the feedback my clients gave after the session:
“I really enjoyed that, particularly enjoyed the qi gong, I felt relaxed afterwards”
“It was really interesting! Very inspiring!“
If you attended the session and would like further clarification on any of the theory, please do not hesitate to ask. I love talking Chinese medicine and would only be too happy to help!
If you would like to join us for the next session, keep an eye on my blog. I’ll write a post as soon as it is arranged. Alternatively, email me or leave your name in the comments and I’ll send you a direct message. Hope to see you there!
